23. I don't know yet.
Normally I get Pad Thai, but the place here is new and I don't like their Pad Thai as much as other places. So I think I might have Swimming Rama or Pad See Ew. :9

5. Went out early - Meryl had pumpkin pancakes, I had roast
turkey with all the goodies. Our waitress was on her first night on the job - ever - and she did well for a learner, earned a good tip.

(Waiting tables is a lot harder than msny realize, and a lot of folks just can't do it.)
We are celebrating our first date, 16 years ago.

16 years is quite a stretch (at least it seems to be these days). Surprised a first night would be on a Saturday.

20. It was an unusual date - we went to a very small town to watch their Halloween Parade,
lots of fire trucks, Cub Scouts who made airplane costumes out of cardboard boxes, 4H floats, etc. It was great. It's not necessarily the exact date we went, but sometime before Halloween. We will be celebrating sporadicly till March, when her parents gave us a huge wedding party at the old Adam's Mark Hotel in Philly.
(We actually got married in January, but it was just the 2 of us.)

It was a pretty complex thing, now that I think about it.

But hey, any excuse for a party.

32. Yes, it's very good. For fajitas, just throw in some chili powder, hot sauce, and your favorite...
...veggies, and it's great. Be sure to start the veggies first. The "chicken" doesn't take that long to cook. Once it's ready, splash it with some lime juice, and you're set! :9

Oh, and some tofutti sour cream goes great with it too!

OT: OMG, we got yet another vegan eatery here in Sack'o'tomatoes. Holy shit, I can barely afford to try them all lately. The new one's all vegan and raw, which both makes me curious and nervous, since in my experience most raw food tastes like shit. We shall see.

You're just mad because Jesus doesn't love you like he loves those of us who are pro-America.

Oh, and moose fajitas are delicious, dontchaknow. I remember makin' them for hockey fundraisers back in Wasilla all the time when my boy Track was in school. But he's left this great country of yours and gone to Iraq to fight the terrorists now, because unlike you he loves America. And moose fajitas. And staying out of prison. But mostly America.

47. Well, okay. I didn't actually make the bread. But ...
I've been gathering the ends of bread for awhile and freezing them (sourdough is particularly good). You can also use non-end bread pieces -- stale works well. Cut them into bite-size pieces, heat some olive oil (and butter if you wish) in a pan with some fresh minced garlic and salt and pepper (and dried herbs like basil if desired). Toss the bread pieces in the oil mixture to coat. Then you can either just sautee them in a pan until crisp or stick them into a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. I like to turn mine over about halfway through the cooking time.

but no stovetop step, I just toss them with olive oil, melted earth balance and dried herbs in a bag, then throw them straight in the oven. I do the same to make stuffing for Tofurkey day, but with only a hint of oil and more herbs.
