Our newest furbaby addition -- 4 1/2 month old border collie!
She's a rescue from a local sheep farmer.

We've named her "Beag," which is Gaelic for "little." You say it "Beck."

she's a good girl and a bright dog. But Bubba is a freaking brain surgeon sans thumbs.

I have always sworn it I could teach him to manipulate a calculator, I could retire and he could get a job and support me

I have that same blanket by the way.

A little story about Border Collie is in order.

I once had a neighbor that had a BC. I had some friends over for a cookout in the yard, There were 6 or seven of us all over the yard looking at the gardens and chatting. The neighbor let her BC(Chip) out.
Chip came roaring through the yard like a tornado, Within a couple of minutes everyone was crammed into an area the size of a sheet of plywood. Chip layed down about twenty feet away and kept watch. His job was done he had successfully hearded up his flock.

when I was a child in England, a border collie belonging to a nearby retired farmer would sneak over to the playground and round up every one of us into a tight little group until we screamed for the guy to come and get his dog :D

56. So cute, and since we adopted Sally our Border Collie-Blue Heeler when she was two
we missed her puppyhood and it's fun to see a baby!
Sally has speckly feet and chest and a sooty nose, but looks like she could be Beag's big sister otherwise. Beag's lucky to have sheep to 'do her thing' with, Sally is obsessed with catching and returning a ball, frisbee, printer cartridge container...whatever, tossing it closer and closer to the person's feet each time they say"closer"!
