cat farts?
if we need a new weapon against Al-Qaeda....i have a new one for them.

kitty farts.

this 5 month old kitten is stinking us out!!!!! the paint on the walls is pealing.

so this cute little thing was curled up on the desk with me...we were getting our cuddle on...
when all of a sudden i couldn't breath. OMG!!!!!!!!
I picked her up and took her into my husband.
"this cute little thing just farted in my face"

He almost fell out of his chair! "OMG! Don't bring her in here? How is that smell coming out of that little cat?"
"Hey we should bottle that and use it for a weapon"

her name might be Dora. but from now on i'm calling her "Stinky".
it's a good thing she's cute.

1. Cat farts are rare but deadly, like some exotic poison.
My Dora's let a few killer ones fly in her day, too.

Cats. :eyes: Dogs fart more, but at least they're good enough to look ashamed afterward. Dora looks at me like :wtf: did that smell come from, and why aren't you opening a window faster?

5. Plain yogurt
No fruit, no vanilla. Yogurt has beneficial bacteria that helps the digestive track, unlike milk, which just gives them diarrhea. Not too much, just a spoonful. I've had a few cats that don't like it, but most of them do.

7. I just discovered these deadly cat farts
when a nice 18 month old stray moved into my place. My GOD,they really fill a room! It is really No Way To Show Gratitude. My feeling was that in time and with regular feeding his gut function will normalize. It's only been a couple of weeks and he is just starting to taper down from the eight or so cans of food (little ones, Fancy Feast) he gobbled every day. I had a fecal analysis done and there are no worms or other parasites to blame. I'm definitely going to try the yogurt. But he is lovable & walked in the door made himself at home as soon as he got the chance. Smart cat.. it's getting cold here.

9. yea, we had her checked...she's healthy
her farts are less and less now, but totally deadly.
we got her when she was just a tiny 3 month old thing, and not starving, but had been underfed and with bad food at that.
i will try the yogurt thing.

they definitely choose us, don't they? :)

12. Yes, they do the choosing
I have rescued a couple of others who wailed until I could not in conscience do anything but pick them up and carry them home, but this was the first one who just barged right in and settled down. I'm really quite taken by him. :)

8. Mao Mao had a really bad intestinal infection when I took him in...
I really didn't think I was going to survive long enough for the antibiotics to work. I was living in a 1 bedroom apartment, maybe 800 square feet...and there simply weren't enough windows for what I was facing. Man was it a happy day when it first became evident that his tummy was feeling better!

15. Me too!
That may have been the longest three weeks of my life...definitely the stinkiest!

It was worth it tho...had him for 7 years now, and he is the chillest cat ever.

14. I have one that will absolutely clear a room
even the elderly dog hastily makes his retreat, the other cat just gives her a very dirty look as if he is saying "*#&% WOMAN, WHAT CRAWLED UP YOUR TAIL AND DIED?!"
