Vegans: I need some help.
We're omnivores and we're going to be hanging out with another couple we're friends with tonight and while he's an omnivore as well, she's a vegan and I'd like to bring something simple (I'm not the best cook) that's a cold dish (they're a 1/2 hr away) in order to be gracious guests. We're already bringing beer, but if anyone can recommend some vegan-friendly munchies, I'd be most grateful.

5. That's a popular one amongst my vegan friends.
Or tortilla chips and guacamole.

6. I like that one!
Easy and tasty. I think we'll make a Trader Joe's run along the way!

2. Or a layered dip
beans, guac, salsa, tofutti cream cheese, olives and chopped onion with chips

don't bother with vegan friendly cheese since it's usually not that great

4. If you are cooking veggiburgers in a pan don't use bacon grease...
Though I admit it really does help the taste I had one very angry mother of two after the fact.

7. Quinoa with basil and tomatoes and olive oil and garlic and lemon juice and salt and
a touch of sweetener like real maple syrup. Delicious and quinoa is a complete protein so it is filing.

8. Thanks all.
Ended up bringing some organic tortille chips, salsa, 2 kinds of hummus, and homemade mango salsa. She was happy. I love hummus as well, but the guys were hankering for chicken wings. Oh well.
