4. The thought of Mormons' "defending" marriage is nauseating
They, whose founder said that every man deserves ten underage virgins. I mean, that doesn't even pass muster mathematically.

I posted PZ Meyers' recent http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2008/11/mormon_meddlers.php">blog concerning the irony of the Mormon Church supporting Prop 8 over on GD but was told that we shouldn't ridicule them for then they will never change their minds.

I am of the belief that one can not use reason to appeal to the unreasonable but that they should be marginalized instead. Perhaps http://www.southparkstuff.com/season_7/episode_712/">this should be required viewing.

5. Public ridicule and counter-recruitment.
Edited on Mon Nov-10-08 04:43 PM by LeftyMom
Like all religions, they're in the recruitment business. Making fools of them publicly screws that up, as does real info about the crazy shit they believe/promote. Tell everybody you know what they believe (include all the crazy, reality-challenged shit about indians being a lost tribe of Israel, the story about the golden plates, etc.) and what they're up to with their tax-free money. Keep missionaries (the kids on bikes) busy so they can't go recruit- new recruits are money.

6. There is plenty of anti-mormon stuff on the net.
Mormons can be rather likeable, however the Utah phuks are brainwashed, dishonest idjits and very intolerant. They have a president, are involved in politics and have land all over the world; they need to be taxed. And I agree that the yes on prop 8 was just so ironic. I can also tell you, polygamy is alive and well in Utah.

7. We can't. They're too big and too powerful.
Besides, why should we? I'm not interested in revenge. I'm interested in victory. I'm not going to waste my energy destroying people who hate me.
