6. Interesting thought
Coldplay has some lyrics about that.
The basic idea is that everyones shine eventually wears off. It is the basic idea that all power loaned to someone is fleeting, and when it wears off karma or retribution will follow. however I don't like the idea, it seems to focus on desire for conflict. Which is why I agree in the knowledge that all power is not from a person, and people should be nice to others. But so much of the song does not make sence to me. I agree with the idea of throwing down ones guns, and just having a drink, it is what I do.

Just because I'm Losing
Doesn't mean I'm lost
Doesn't mean I'll stop
Doesn't mean I will cross

Just because I'm hurting
Doesn't mean I'm hurt
Doesn't mean I didn't get what I deserved
no better and no worse.

I just got lost
Every river that I tried to cross
Every door I ever tried was locked
oh and I'm just waiting 'til the shine wears off

you might be a big fish in a little pond
Doesn't mean you've won
'Cause along may come
A bigger one

And you'll be lost
Every river that you tried to cross
Every gun you ever held went off
Oh and I'm just waiting 'til the firing stopped
Oh and I'm just waiting 'til the shine wears off

Oh and I'm just waiting 'til the shine wears off
Oh and I'm just waiting 'til the shine wears off

I like this song, although it seems to be from the position of post shine wear off. Interesting though.

10. As the wife of a corrections officer, I can tell you that it is a delicate balance...
My husband often says that every day when he gets out of there alive, it's because the inmates let him.
