I saw a shooting star tonight.
BIG sucker, too. It trailed a welder-bright arc across half the sky before bursting into the most brilliant multi-colored fire I ever saw. Bright as the sun, gone in a second- a small chunk of the universe just gave up its eternal flight through space and time to explode before my very eyes. It was one hell of a light show.

DAMN, I love moments like that!

3. Yes, I saw it too!!! I've never seen one before, I thought it was some
kind of missile. It was truly one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen.

I was hoping it would be on our local news but since it is 24 degrees out I assume not too many people were out to see it around here. :-)

5. I caught the last green 1/8th second of that one myself
driving up I35, just off to the NE. Biggest I've ever seen by far.


Google the one that folks in Edmonton Alberta saw in the past week or so; a cop car's camera caught it on tape. The thing actually lit up the town.

I saw ONE, once...

Just very brief, and a tiny bright line in the sky...

Then poof...and it was gone.

If I hadn't been looking right at it, I would NEVER have seen it...
