over the years in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Colorado and Switzerland. It would be difficult to single out one as a "hometown." :hi:

3. My hometown is Brattleboro, Vermont
Famed for being both the place that has (or rather had, until it became national news and naked people flocked there from far and wide) no nudity ordinance and the place that put out an arrest warrant on Bush and Cheney if they ever set foot there. :patriot:

I grew up in NE, and spent last 7 months in FL with elderly parents. I'm back north now, just 1 week, DC area, adjusting to cold! I missed spring and much of autumn up here, so looking forward!

20. I grew up in Miamisburg, Ohio
It used to be it's own independent, little, hillbilly town until urban sprawl turned it into a suburb of Dayton and the rich folks moved in.

I still live close to there.

30. Ulen, Minnesota. Population 532.
It's about an hour's drive NE of Fargo. Fairly typical little rural town, in ways both good and bad. Nobody locks thier doors and cars and everyone knows everyone and everyone helps each other when in need. There is also the dysfunctional families, the rural poverty, the pervasive alcoholism, and the "social conservative" bigotry, especially against gays (though that has been changing ever since there was a huge commotion when the hip, cool, and popular high school math teacher came out as a lesbian).

35. Union City, NJ
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_City,_New_Jersey

I lived right down the block from St. Michael's Monastery, and I used to go see HS football games at Roosevelt Stadium all the time with my dad, as a kid. I was really sad when I found out it was torn down.

40. The Village of Endicott in upstate New York, just outside of Binghamton.
Endicott is also the hometown of IBM, though it's a sad shadow of what it once was there.

My family moved to Cherry Hill, New Jersey when I was 8 until I graduated, then I moved just across the river to Philadelphia for college. I met my husband there and settled down just outside of the city. My brother moved back to Endicott almost 20 years ago and we have relatives there, so we visit a few times a year.
