1. I always dump it by the first of the year.
It hasn't been all that for several years now, and I've been out of the wine biz for a couple of years at this point. Have you had it this year?

4. No, I haven't tried this year's - I haven't tried it for a few years,
because I live in a place that, when I first moved here a few years ago, I went to a number of liquor stores, even one actual wine store, asking, "Do you have the Beaujolais Nouveaus in yet?" and no one even knew what the hell I was talking about.

3. Usually not the Beaujolais, but I was going through the cellar today
making room for my new stock, and came across a 2003. I thought I should at least taste it before I dump it down the drain, which I did. It wasn't awful yet, but it certainly wasn't worth keeping.

And I tend to buy wine in bulk, so, yes, I do keep bottles longer than the day I bought them. :grr:

:loveya:

6. What did you think "Nouveau" meant?
"Store for five years"?

Hope you have a back-up bottle...

8. Anyway, what is the beaujolais for? Dinner?
I find beaujolais too simple for the main course. Serve it with the appetizers, and serve a nice chilled Rhine white with the bird.

Same rule with Italian cuisine. Serve the lambrusco with the appetizers, and open a good solid Chianti for the main course.
