Comic Books

Does anyone know WTF is going on with The Batman comics at DC? I couldnt get into the whole Final Crisis thing cause it was boring and didnt make any sense. Now I'm reading that Bruce Wayne is giving up being Batman again? WTF I'm so sick of this shit!

First Marvel kills Captain America and now Bruce Wayne is retiring? Fuck you both to DC and Marvel. I'm done.

2. I havent read Batman in a year or so

But I was browsing online and decided to see what was going on. I was never a fan of Grant Morrison but I read about Batman RIP and think it sounds like crap. I didnt like it when Batman retired the first time and I'm sure I wont like it this time.

I just get mad when they kill off major heroes.

in current comics, its literally pathetic. Its hard to find current comics in my area, so I'm stuck finding graphic novels, of stories that happened years ago....

Sorry I'm not much of a help, but Wayne retiring? Damn, sounds just as bad as Superman splitting into two energy based heroes, one guy red, the other blue(that arc, I didn't buy DC comics for three years until they fixed that blue/red superman garbage).

I keep meaning to catch up, I usually catch up in giant bursts then stop reading for a year or so. I was all set to go hunt for all the DC I missed when I was reading some forums and apparently Bruce Wayne isnt going to be batman anymore after Batman RIP. Nightwing may take over.

I say who the fuck wants to read about a Batman that isnt Bruce Wayne? Batman Beyond was good but Bruce Wayne was in control mostly. But I guess I'll just forget about DC comics and Marvel all together now.

No wonder guys are jumping on torrents. I've been strictly trades for 5yrs now and for me floppies are dead. My LCS closed up a few years ago and I have to go waaay out of my way to go to a CB shop. Just not worth it anymore.

You don't really think they "killed" Captain America, do you? Get the Captain America Omnibus from Amazon/Ebay, it's friggen amazing. I recommended it to a co-worker and afterward he was like, MORE!

Arkham Asylum? And that was in 1989. Whew!!! Best comic book (or graphic novel, if you want to be picky) EVER, IMO.

7. It's actually a pretty entertaining read.

I was kind of skeptical at first about how they'd pull off Bruce Wayne not being Batman anymore (well at least for a while, we know he'll be back), but it actually came out pretty nice and thrilling.
