Remind me to never, ever read a car thread in GD or LBN again.
Inevitably there's some poster (and while I hate to stereotype, they all seem to be male) who feels that any derogatory remarks about cars that generally resemble (in brand, shape, nationality, weight class, color or number of cupholders) his somehow constitutes a slander of him, his penis, his sainted mother, America herself and apple pie, to judge by the reaction. Not any one poster in particular, mind, DU seems to have a whole cadre of my-car-is-sacred-and-perfect posters, and whether I like their choice in vehicles or not I think I've decided they're all annoying.

Unless they drive wagons, because everybody knows that only the smartest people drive wagons. ;)

and having the car not be able to do it because there was an inch of snow on the road.

The only time I got stuck in the Saab, there were a full six inches of unplowed snow on the roads.

Actually though, it's a better-built, fancier Nissan. Best car I've ever owned. I'll hate to see it go, but it's getting to be time. It's pretty much a brand new car under the body panels.

27. And, although the engine is based on one available in Nissans that year,
Edited on Thu Dec-11-08 10:39 PM by GOPisEvil
the one in the Infiniti is a DOHC 24-valve. The Nissans were a SOHC 16-V, I think.

The head service guy at the dealership said he would buy those engines from Nissan and race them. Best feature: TIMING CHAIN - not a timing belt.

Edit - worst feature: LIQUID MOTOR MOUNTS that cost several limbs to replace.

And it replaced a Volvo which was a real wagon, but the prius has more room front to back in the wagon part and between the wheel wells than the V40 wagon I had.

And I used to have a Camry wagon (sweet) but they were nixed in the US to make people buy stupid SUVs and Trucks.

and the one we bought is no longer made, the Chevy Malibu Maxx. Wonderful car, terrible marketing, didn't sell well, and the new Malibus don't come in wagon designs.

"Station Wagon" is still a lethal term to marketeers, but SUVs are morphing into station wagons using the benign word "crossover". Still a wagon to me.
