It's perfect. I wonder who the engineer was. It's perfect drum-mixing.

Best kick drum sound ever was the kick drum on Blood Sugar Sex Magik, by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Thats the one that always springs to mind.

7. I was a recording engineer

for more than 25 years. I worked very hard at developing great drum sounds. I fine tuned my system, mic's, pre amps, eq's , consoles, mic technique, placement, the works, and it was finally Eddy Bayers, a studio drummer in Nashville who prooved to me beyond a doubt; that a great drum sound comes from being hit by a great drummer who now how to tune his kit. I am gratified to know that someone such as yourself listens that carefully. The exec's as WB always told us nobody was listening they way we did, and more to the point nobody cared.

1) Tuning

2) The Drummer

3) The Room

4) The Kit

5) The Mic Distance

6) Mixing

It really is an art form getting a great drum sound.
