A picture, not of me as a child, but something much more important.
The little imp to your right is me and two of my three sisters, taken over 45 years ago. But the much more important thing is- see that tree in the background over my shoulder?

THAT was my special climbing tree.

I still climbed it well into my teens, and in my later years I've even seen it in my dreams.

It IS important- at least to me.

1. And what a lovely tree it was (and hopefully is still).
I "had" a scrub oak on my grandmother's farm that I used to climb ... there was a wonderful spot where I could park on a branch, lean against the trunk, and gaze at the sky all day....

Thank you for that beautiful memory.

2. It reached all the way up into the sky.
And sadly, it no longer exists.
