I just bought a Saturn--Thanks for all your input
Last week I asked Saturn owners how they liked their cars. Based on all the positive feedback I took the plunge and bought a Saturn yesterday. What a great car! Very high quality feel and ride. Thanks for helping me make my decision.

1. I have a Saturn
It's not anything spectacular, but it's solid and dependable. Did you get any extras?

6. It's an '03 L200
Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 09:29 AM by bif
Somebody ordered the thing loaded and then decided they didn't want the thing. so the dealer and GM offered a bunch of cash back on the vehicle. It's a 5-speed with a leather interior, heated seats and mirrors, Electronic temperature control, 6 disc cd player and a moon roof. Plus free OnStar for a year! It's really like a luxury car. And we're moving up from a base Mercury Tracer.

9. The state of Delaware thanks you for your patronage
Your car was built about 3 miles from my home. I pass the Saturn Plant in Wilmington about once a week (it's near the shopping area on Kirkwood Highway)

Thanks for keeping Delaware Auto Workers employeed!!

4. Which model? Maybe it was made in DELAWARE
:D

The Saturn Plant is 2 miles from my home, I think they make the "L" series and the new SUV there

8. You should rephrase that as "assembled in Delaware"
Much of the Saturn line components are made elsewhere, and assembled in the US. (Like the Saturn wiring harnesses/switches/fuse assemblies/electronic ignition system, etc, are made in China.)

13. That may be true, but still...
Saturn is the most American Made car out there.

11. I just got a 2004 Nissan Altima
Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 09:31 AM by Mika
I checked out the Passat too, but the Altima is assembled in the US - and is one hell of a nice car. More solid ride and better outfitted than the Passat (and the Saturn too). Its a better value imo. Both the 4cyl and the 6cyl. Check it out.

12. Thanks.
I love this car! Hope it lasts as well as our Tracer. We've put hardly any money in the thing in 9 years. Pretty solid utilitarian vehicle.
