I think "Last Seen Wearing" sounds pretty cool.

On edit: I was going to start a Judge Dread cover band called King Cock and The Roosters... But if you've never heard Judge Dread, it doesn't really make any sense.

13. For a very short time, I was part of a band called "The Fucking Shits".
Edited on Thu Dec-18-08 11:36 AM by old mark
We played a frat party about 45 years ago, and did some old Yardbirds/Jeff Beck stuff featuring feedback, evidently a new experience for the brain dead frat boys, one of whom stated," You guys sound like fucking shit."
At our break our guitarist annmounced," We're the Fucking Shits, and we'll be back in a little while."

I have always liked that name, but it was not popular with club owners....
"Last Seen Wearing" could be good depending on the music...

I have a whole list of possible band names, mostly interesting turns of phrases from students I teach. "The Vacation Ponies" came from a colleague, who got it from kids who were trying to come up with team names for a classroom game.

50. "Penisators and Vibrillators"...
In 1994, the Washington state legislature enacted a bill to "protect our children from pornography." :eyes: Among a whole list of items that couldn't be sold openly were "penisators" and "vibrillators"...despite the fact that no one, including sex-shop operators, seems to have had any clue what such items were (language of the bill had been picked up from a similar fundie-authored bill in some other state, and apparently not cross-checked with reality before being introduced up here). I always thought it would be a cool name for a band...or maybe two (an male band named the Penisators and a female one named the Vibrillators) that could appear on the same bill.

55. I've given serious thought to "The Gaze" as a band name.
Because of its homophone that would likely keep homophobes away from our shows, haha. (Or bring the really ardent ones out in full force, which would also be amusing.)

"Fucking Youth, Working Youth" is another one, after the line in the song "I Dreamed I Dream" by Sonic Youth.

60. I had two bands...
...my first was "Queen Anne's Revenge"...LONG before "Queen" (it was the name of Blackbeard's flagship).

The second one was "The Fabulous Sandblasters"...LONG before "The Fabulous Thunderbirds"...

So I'm working on a third. In 2009 I need to strap on the guitar again and get out in front of a live audience. We shall see.
