I feel so badly for my Professor...Lost both of her parents in a month
:(

Her mother died after a long battle with cancer a few weeks ago, and then her dad suddenly died last week. How horrific.

1. That happened to a friend of ours as well
His mother died after a lifelong battle with muscular dystrophy, and at the funeral, we were talking to his Dad. When we asked "how are you holding up?", he said, "well, my dentist found something strange during an exam, and referred me to an oncologist, and it was cancer - it's spread all over, and they only give me about another month." The poor man look stunned.

Sorry BB, for your Professor.

2. I honestly thought that was going to happen to me. Shortly after we lost my mom my
dad had to have surgery. I honestly braced myself for the possibility of him not pulling through, not for health reasons but because of a broken heart.

I really feel for your professor. That's such a shock! :(
