Got snow?
It's been snowing nonstop since 7am yesterday. They say it's a record for a 24 hour period. All I know is I got over two feet and it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon.

1. Yep. Not as much as you do, but enough to keep me at home.
Fortunately, I'm also able to work from home, though by the end of the day, I'm going to run out of things, and really need to get into the office.

2. I stayed home
Most of the roads are closed anyway so it's not like I had a choice. Schools are shut down. Transit isn't even running.

3. I've had the TV on all day, on NWCN, and have seen some video
from Spokane. Looks really bad there.

4. idiots with 4WD who drive too fast who cause 90% of the problem
Hey, I'm watching NWCN too! Does daytime TV suck or what?

6. The 4WDers drive me crazy!
Some of them seem to think it's REAL FUNNY to ride your ass in this kind of weather (in nice weather too, some of them).

And they don't seem to understand that really slick ice can spin them out just as easily as it can a car.

And yeah, daytime TV sucks.

I'm actually listening to the radio online, and watching NWCN with the sound off.

11. This is where I confess
to having a 4WD (I also have four studded tires) but I don't drive like an asshole.

5. I went into the office (in Renton) this morning.
Not bad at all. In fact, no snow at all.

That didn't last long. :) We closed the office at 9:00. I left about 9:15 and got home (to Newcastle) about 9:45, taking the back roads since 405 was all jacked up.

In answer to your question, I offer the photo below. Taken a few minutes ago.

7. Wow, you work just down the road from me.
My address is in Seattle, but just down the street from me is Skyway, then Renton.

12. I know that area well.
There are a few stores and restaurants in my immediate neighborhood, but I often go to Renton for other thing that I can't get around here.

Hey, if like Thai food, the Royal Orchid on Rainier Ave, just a mile or so north from that intersection, is really good.

9. Where are you at?
I'm right around Crossroads in Bellevue and we've got well over a foot now.

And it's STILL coming down! Got to be around 14 inches.

Haven't seen this much snow since 1990.

10. My dear pokerfan!
We have snow here, but luckily it's all on the local mountains!

Our Mt. Baldy (10,000 feet) is covered with snow!

And all the local ski resorts are rejoicing about the snow, since it'll bring the skiers!

I have no idea how I would live in snow...:scared:

:hi:

15. I would love to get to one of the local resorts
but they've closed most of the roads. :(

Plus I hate skiing while it's actually snowing, if that makes any sense.

18. Someone posted a sign a few years back in a city where I lived - offering free snow
to anyone who wanted it. Or they charged for the snow... I can't really remember but it was funny.
