The word cook, as in to heat on stove, is only one of the components of the meaning.
It also includes the mixing and measuring of componets.
That is why a person that works in a restraunt is called a cook, and not called an oven.
If they required heating to be called cookies, they would be called ovenies.

I hope this clears this up.


Edit: they could be called Bake'es also :)

9. Campfire Brownies... crushed vanilla wafers, can of Eagle Brand Milk,
chocolate chips, nuts, and maybe some peanut butter.

dump everything in the big ziplock bag and knead it all together. Shape into a roll and let it sit.

Way back when we crushed the vanilla wafers in the plastic sack they came in, then opened one end of it and poured in the other stuff.
