Are Southern New Englanders ready for the big storm?
:bounce:

8-12" is on its way!

Be careful out there today kids! Weather people say it's going to be dangerous out there later, no visibility, snow coming down at 1-2" an hour!

:o

1. This is so not fair
I had the afternoon scheduled off but my office just closed and instead of being the only one off, I'm the only one still here! :(

5. Supposed to start in Western MA around now, Central MA around 1,
and Eastern MA around 1-2. It's gonna be a doozy, judging from the radar.

35. Just started in Hudson about half an hour ago (1:15)
And I'm already home and baking Christmas cookies. Yay snow!

It'll be our Bella's first "real" snow - we are hoping it's a real doozy so she can have some fun in it.

6. We've got the tail end of that passing through now.
We had thundershow early this AM. So far we're at about 11 inches... and the drifts are 2-4 feet.

10. Lucky bastids.
Just rain rain rain here. COLD and damp - but not cold enough for the white stuff.

Just more proof that there is no God. :P

Enjoy it, babe. And snuggle up with the sniffa - like I need to tell you that. :loveya:

15. I've seen the snowpack last months, but that's generally
out in the rural areas, like where my parents live. Once the lawn disappears, you might not see it again until April. :D

I started vacation today and slept in a little. When I finally got out of bed at 10, it had just started snowing and has not let up. Looks like we've got 3-4 inches so far.

34. Some of the only perks I enjoy about living in this condo:
In-door parking and not having to shovel.

Can you believe I'm off until January 5th? I'm not gonna want to go back! Non-profit shitty pay = ridiculous vacation time and sick days.

Keep each other warm. I just talked to Jon and he's on his way home, thank goodness.

the ocean air kept us out of the ice by about 1 mile. People just down the road where frozen over, it was completely normal in my range of needs, so I'm hoping for a repeat

Miles and miles of Rt 2 with broken and down trees. Hundreds of them, I've never seen anything like it. Birches bent into perfect arches, etc. Unreal.

33. I'm not too worried about power outages with just snow, but
Central MA is still pretty fucked up from the ice last week, and a lot of them still have no power. Sigh.

We'll be ok here. :hi:
