4. My cats are smart enough to be sleeping.
I should be too. But I never claimed to be too bright. :P

But later I'll finally fall asleep and won't wake up for probably 18 hours.

That sucks too, because I'm going to be in the back seat of a car on my way down to North Carolina on vacation. It would be nice if I was awake enough to at least enjoy the view. :)

Where is that located?

3. I've never seen it quite like this before.
For the last month or so, though, it has been this way, just horribly dead like some forgotten place no one visits any more. It's creepy.

What keeps you up all night?

Edited on Mon Dec-22-08 07:22 AM by Jamastiene
I just always have been. I sleep like a baby in the day time, but at night, I tend to be wide awake. My whole family is like this. We are all night owls, like zombies wandering around at night while everyone else in town sleeps. :P

9. Where are you that it's that cold?
I hope your home isn't that cold. :(

I'm in too much pain to sleep. The morphine is just making me loopy. The pain is getting dulled, but not enough to let me get comfortable enough to sleep.

And my sleep schedule is now so thoroughly fucked I can't figure out when I'll sleep next. Daily migraines keeping me in bed, and chronic fatigue keeping me asleep for 14-16 hours at a time have thrown me all out of whack.

Now that I'm not working I just go with it. :P

18. Yes, but my apartment is the best heated one in the building.
I am the first apartment off the line off the boilers, and we have steam heat, so I get the most heat. I'm always toasty warm. I sometimes even have to open windows in the winter to cool down.

Feel free to come over. I have room.

Hi Thom :)

I'm busy trying to bundle up and head out into the 15 degree blech that is the Philly burbs.

2 pairs of sweats, 2 pairs of socks, 4 layers of shirt/sweatshirt etc. and heavy boots.

I'll look like Randy from A Christmas Story by the time I'm done.

I'm leaving for a week in an hour or so, and I'm too high to do it now because I have some serious thank you notes to write. So next week when I get back you'll hear again how much I love you.

17. Up early? I never went to bed.
:(

All is reasonably well. I'm packed and ready to go away for a week, and I'll end up asleep in the back seat instead of keeping the driver company. I'll have 3 dogs to snuggle with. :)

I'm in a lot of pain right now. The cold doesn't help. But what else is new. I'm increasing my doses to compensate. So I'm a bit loopy. :P

21. You must be exhausted!
It's nice that you can get away for a week. Oh, and those dogs will keep you nice and cozy during the ride. I'm sure the driver won't mind you snoozing in the back.

Sorry to hear about your pain. I can't imagine living with that all the time. But you are always so gracious. You inspire a lot of people around here.

43. We're going to North Carolina.
It's farther away, which is more painful for me to get to and from. But it's warmer, so I'll be in less pain while I'm there, and it's fully wheelchair accessible.

So I'm going to maxing out my painkillers today to get there, but it'll be a good week once I get there. :)

Annapolis is pretty too, but spring is a much better time - you should come at the beginning of May when all the shops put up their May Day displays. :)

I think you definitely made the better choice! It'll be a much more comfortable vacation.

JennaLaw has been making a big deal about how she can absolutely get a wheelchair down onto a beach, so I better not say otherwise. So I am going to get to see that beach. :P

Yes, it's definitely going to be a good trip. :)

41. Down to the beach
Hrrmm..

You left me thinking about that. It might be a good idea to have something you can use as a sled. Might be more proficient than wheels If you want to be totally ridiculous, a lot of people use those little toy red wagons. :D They drag their tots to the beach that way, don't see why it wouldn't work for a grown man. :D ;-) . Just a suggestion.

As for me, I'm going to finish up shopping today, I'm getting something for a 3+ yr boy and my 60 yr sister. :D And I have to get supplies to make cookies tomorrow. I'm into gingerbread and springerle cookies. :9 Tomorrow's going to be a baking and wrapping party here. For the big event, I'm going to my sister's an niece's house. :-)

Have fun in the surf. :D

I fly an airline trip to Cabo on Christmas Eve (that's where everyone is). Return to Atlanta on Christmas day, then fly back to Cabo the next morning for a couple weeks of vacation.
