OKAY - Philadelphia Phans

this is our Year. First, St Joe's, then the Flyers, then the Phillies and their awesome pitching staff in their new stadium, and then the Eagles fourth time charm. I live in Mississippi but I was born in Philly and served as an unmolested Altar Boy at St Columba in North Philly (Lehigh Ave), many, many, many years ago. GO PHILLIES!

1. We do this to ourselves every damn year....

I'm going to keep my expectations SEVERELY in check this year...The Eagles damn near killed me this past season...:-(

That being said, the Phils look friggin' AWESOME!!!

4. I lived six blocks from Connie Mack in 1964

I listened to the Phillies away games on the radio every night. I got into the games for free after the third inning. I sold the parking space in front of our house. I've been in therapy ever since but I keep coming back for more.

note to cub fans - YOU DON'T KNOW SUFFERING. Your team is cute; the Phillies are a baseball team.

2. Go Phillies!!!!

I've been a Phils fan forever. I'm so excited for this year. ESPN has them ranked 3rd overall, 1st in the NL. Granted, I fully expect that they will start out about 10-30, fire Bowa, trade everyone they can, and tell us that Chase Utley is the future of the franchise, but I'm still excited that at least this year that *might* not happen.
