17. It works, too
For some people it works better, since it has a lot less sugar than Gatorade and Powerade.

22. For me, it's lying in the bed with one foot hanging out and one hand on the wall
Seems to make the spinning go away.

Gatorade is good - I try to drink some right after the binge as well as in the morning. Tylenol scares me; I'd rather have the headache than sit around wondering if my liver's going to pop...

The room only spins when I have a stomach virus. It helps then.

16. Never had one...
Goodness knows I've tried, but I just don't get them. Sure, I've felt a little blah the next day, but even after a night of falling down drunk, I've never had it bad at all.

Alternate drinking water with alcohol (while drinking), the next morning, drink fruit juice, or better yet, Gatorade... with a handful of your favorite analgesic. Most of the effects of a hangover are due to dehydration and toxicity, get flushed with electrolytes.

That's not medical advice, BTW... just good home remedies.

19. BlueDog's Recovery Plan
1. Eat something really bland, eg, grits, oatmeal, cream of wheat. Get something in there before you digest yourself.

2. Drink some fruit juice. Fructose helps to metabolize the alcohol that's still in your system.

3. Drink something caffeinated. The blood vessels in your head are fubared, so you need to beat them into submission.

4. Bananas and sports drinks. You just pissed and sweated out a lot of potassium, and a potassium deficiency plays havoc with your energy levels. Spend the day noshing on bananas and sipping Gatorade or Pedialyte.

5. Take a scalding hot shower. Loosen up the muscles and get the blood circulating.

6. Go outside. The cold air helps, as does natural sunlight.
