Anyone know how gas pumps work (payment wise?)
I worry about little stuff sometimes. Yesterday I went to a station, inserted my card and then the screen changed and all it would say is "message 10" then "message 15" I attempted to use the pump , selected the grade but it wouldn't work. I put the pump back and went to a different island.

Now I'm worried that the next person who uses it will have their gas charged to my card. So, the question is- does hanging up the pump cancel the transaction?

1. As far as I know, hanging up the pump "ends" the charge transaction.
IOW, I don't think you could even pick the pump back up and fill some more. I'd still check your account asap, just to be sure.

2. Thanks.
My credit card usually doesn't post for a few days at gas stations. I hope I am just worrying for the sake of worrying.
