I just had grapefruit for the first time and it was nasty.

It was sour and my mom told me I had to eat it with a spoon but it was still hard to eat. She told me to put sugar on it I did and guess what it was even more nasty. I will just keep my orange please.

Ruby red grapefruits are sweet and so very tasty. No sugar is required. But those white ones are nasty.

5. Absolutely! I didn't think I liked grapefruit til I had the ruby red.

Now I have a grapefruit tree in my backyard and I can't get enough of them. :9

7. for me I love the TEXAS ruby reds

They seem a bit sweeter and definitely easier to peel.
Now my mouth is watering. Haven't had a grapefruit for a couple weeks.

6. You have to put a whole lot of sugar on it..

Cake sugar all over the top, then push it into the grapefruit with the back of your spoon. Once it's all soaked in, repeat the process. You have to do this about 5 or 6 times before there is enough sugar to make the grapefruit edible. Or, as you say, just go back to oranges. I take medication for high cholesterol, and the label says don't eat grapefruit while taking this medicine. So I have an excuse to avoid it.
