Should I get my tongue pierced?
Maybe I would be able to speak better in public and today's "with it" generation can dig it also and clap me on the back and say "Way to go dude!" I'd be so happy...

1. My dear Tom Kitten...
Um...

I sure wouldn't do it.

I think it looks icky, frankly...And I don't see how it would help you to speak better in public...

You might very well turn off as many people as you turn on...

But, still, it's your body, and you can certainly do what you want!

2. dear Peggy
Don't you know by now I'm just an idle person full of nonsensical thoughts usually around this time of night! Of course I was just kitten! I just can't go to bed yet and just to let you know I could never picture either you or myself with tongue piercings! By the way I loved your Mt. Baldy pictures, my sister lives at the base of that humongous thing!

3. I am relieved to hear you say this!
I'm not usually up at this time (lovely insomnia!) so I am unfamiliar with your postings at this hour!

Glad you like my Mt. Baldy pics...it was a beautiful day...

:hi:

4. It's beautiful down there
my sister lives in Claremont at the edge of suburbia right in the foothills, she's seen lynxes and cougars which made her not want to go on her nature walks alone...I usually visit her in the late summer, though, and it's usually very smoggy! I should be visiting her this time of year but she's currently up here visiting me! She liked the snow...for awhile! But thankfully it's all gone now...

Did you take those pictures from Griffith Park I wonder?

5. Nope, not Griffith Park...
But a little park in Inglewood, just off La Cienega...

Kenneth Hahn Regional Park, or some such...

You have to drive all the way through to the eastern-most edge, and then walk a little. The views are amazing!

Claremont is a pretty town...my daughter went to Harvey Mudd College there...

6. I miss the SoCal area
I spent my years 5-12 there, first in Hollywood, then in Fullerton...It was there in 3rd grade when we came back from lunch recess and our teacher Mrs. Clopper was crying and said that President Kennedy had been shot and we were going home...We lived close to Brea and a lot of the land was still wild because they were still pumping oil out of it...We lived not far from Disneyland and went there often, as were also the beach and mountains...but we moved to Oregon when I was a month shy of 13 and for better or worse here I've been! However if I could get a good job down there I'd move back down in a minute!

10. Everyone I have ever known that did it
had trouble pronouncing some sounds later. It is like they pay money for a self inflicted speach impediment.
