1. Depends on the license you purchased, but likely yes.

2. I have the student version and it is good for 3 PCs, so I would check
your license - it may be good for more than one.

Free free free and has analogs that actually work in all the MS Office applications.

5. Agree - I use programs that supposedly "only" work with MS Office, but
they work just fine with Open Office.

4. Do NOT go looking for a keygen for that program.
That might just be wrong.

7. Who me?
Never. I bought all of my editions of Adobe Acrobat Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Or something. No idea how to use most of them, but whatever.

Not that I would do anything like that.

13. I think the copy we bought at my office is licensed for 4 computers.
So, you probably don't need to buy another one yet. Either way, you can download Open Office, which is free and compatible with Microsoft Office.

14. Legally... depends on license.
So read that carefully.

Morally? Personally I think you should have the right to have it on your laptop if you've bought the program but I don't make the rules, Micro$haft does.

I've been using Ubuntu (my choice of Linux) lately more and more and I find myself booting into Windows even less. No Office on there, just OpenOffice.

Yes, you can go the illegal route, I think the latest version of Office probably has some hefty digital rights management software built in to prevent multiple installations but I don't know as I am still on the older version of Office and don't need the whiz-bang effects of the new one - yet.

Mark.
