Speaking of that earthquake, I was at work when it happened, and a coworker announced, "My daughter just called and said there was a major earthquake in San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge has collapsed."

It seemed believable at the time, as a massive CA earthquake had been predicted for years.

I can only guess that the daughter, 14, had seen the Cypress Street Viaduct collapse on TV, and told her mom that "a big bridge collapsed," and the mom filled in the blanks in her own tiny brain.

I had my ham radio in my car, and when someone announced that the Bay Bridge had collapsed, I thought it was the whole thing. That was when I got really scared.

But I've only been sober for two months... Went through detox in August, but relapsed a couple of times... :-(

But I found a really great AA group that are a lot more fun to hang out with than sitting home and drinking by myself... :-)

I was just reading about this tonight. Every year Coke puts out a special kosher version here in the U.S., made with sugar cane instead of corn syrup. The U.S. stuff has a yellow cap. It's supposed to taste a lot better.
