I went to a Lou Malnati's Pizzeria last night

The deep dish pizza was not as deep as some others that I have had, but it was very good. The crust is different too. Lou's pizza seems more "fried" than other deep dish crusts I've had. I suppose they put more oil in the pan. I think the effect they got is what Pizza Hut is trying to get with their pan pizza, which also has a "fried" kind of texture but isn't nearly as good as Malnati's

My sister used to live in Chicago but she didn't want to venture there.

She has since moved to Austin, TX. :( for me ever getting to Lou Malnati's. :) for me most likely getting some great Margaritas and Tex-Mex!

You can have them shipped frozen to you. A tad pricey but they have been shipping nationwide for a long time.
