Anyone live in Denver and play a bow/string instrument know where to get rosin?
I'm experimenting with a technique called col legno tratto, which is drawing wood across the strings of an instrument instead of the horse hairs. Instead of using a real bow or a normal string instrument I'm using an electric guitar, but the wood alone (which I filled in a wooden dowel for) doesn't produce enough friction to make a sound without being amplified to the nines.

Where do I buy rosin in Denver CO? Is it relatively cheap, like a couple bucks? Online it is, but I'd have to wait for it, and I'm working on a song with it, so I'd really like to have it today. I don't know where to go.

1. I'd check with instrument shops
When I used to play, I went to Kolacny on South Broadway (for trumpet stuff). I think there's a different shop on West Colfax also, not too far from Kipling.

Not sure about Sunday hours, but I'd start with a call to them.

3. I live by the light rail and don't drive...
so Broadway sounds better. I'll probably go tomorrow!

Thanks for the help, sorry it took so long to get back, I've been busy!
