The phone is ringing some... but the job search is slow
Today, I got a call from a tiny newspaper in the midwest that probably would want to pay me in beer and Skittles. But I figure I'll go through with the phone interview.

I got another lead on a local job and spent some time this morning schmoozing with a person I know in that organization. Not sure what my chances would be. It'd be a pay cut, but not but much and the commute would be far less than the one I had to my last job,

On Friday, I meet with a guy who might or might not be able to throw me some freelance work.

There are a couple other irons still in the fire.

But next week, the severance payments stop. I'm nervous. It's been three months. I've never been unemployed for this long.

2. I keep looking...
because I remember you mentioning that you were looking. \

Also, how far from battle creek? I found this...it's probably a huge paycut, but it might do for the meanwhile.

Also this in Bellaire. I have no idea of the geography of Michigan, so I have no idea how far that is.

And several in Port Huron, all at the Times Herald.

3. Thanks
At this point, I am prepared to move and commute back to the family on weekends for a while. The Bellaire job is VERY far away... but sounds interesting. Port Huron would be a long, but doable commute.

But I have no idea of their geography either and thus no idea what is near the border with MI.

5. NW Ohio might be not be too bad
Toledo and surrounding areas. Also maybe Ft Wayne? Just some thoughts given his current location.
