Don't want to introduce a bias here, so I will withhold my opinion.

1. Ground beef.
I buy local, organic, grass fed ground beef, but still, I could probably do without it.

(We're buying a house so that's the best I could come up with in the extraneous spending category)

9. soda/seltzer
I drink Scotch.
I prefer it mixed with club soda or seltzer.
Either one.
Seltzer is 'better for you', I guess because it has no sodium.
But I decide i can do without it.
So I cut my Scotch with plain old tap water now.
Soda ran about 50 cents a bottle.
I can do without it.
Next I'm working on the cigarettes.
BIG savings there.

It's a business expense (of sorts).

There is a need to socialize at work, and lunch is a primary means. I totally understand.

Although I bring my lunch to work with me, most days, I still go out with the group for lunch. I walk with them, they get their lunch, we come back, I heat my lunch, and we eat together.

When they eat out, I eat out. My lunch can wait in the fridge for another day.

22. It's not a business expense.
We all eat at our desks. Ordering food is pretty much a daily ritual. We got to a point where Sunday was Chinese day, Monday was Italian, and so on.

My co-workers are cool. We all get along.

I bring food sometimes.

or washing your hand is cheaper.

If you work, you can always hold it until you get to the office, then use their TP, rather than buy your own...

I'm in 580 square feet with an SO, 2 cats, and my stepson's things (he's here every other weekend), so there's about 800 sf worth of stuff in here.

We've been debating getting a slightly larger place. If we do that I'll definitely start growing mushrooms again. Yum.

It would help if you just added up how much you spend for cigs in a year.

A quarter per cigarette?
