Why would anyone BUY episodes of TV shows on iTunes
when you can get most of them for free just by visiting the channel's website?

I see the tv show LEVERAGE is on iTunes, why not just go to the TNT website? I know there is the convenience factor, but seriously, why buy the cow when the milk is free?

1. For offline convenience I guess...
... I don't own one but I would guess that an ipod touch would be OK to watch TV shows on, and even though that has wifi accessibility, you can't always be in internet access range with an ipod touch.

Plus what if the TV channel takes the programme offline? Plus what about international borders... you're in UK, you can watch most domestic TV output there over the net, move outside UK you can't. Put it on itunes, you can then buy the programme and watch it where-ever.

I guess it falls under same reason why people bought records of hit songs that were played in heavy rotation on Top 40 stations in the 70's and 80s. You could listen on your radio for free, but you just had to get the record.

Mark.

PS: plus can you record and save shows from the tv station sites to your computer to download to an ipod?
