2. I was in Canada in 2005, but for only twelve or so hours.
It was for a geology trip. We were studying the Gowganda Formation.

3. My dear ih8thegop!
We go to Europe fairly often...

The last time was in 2007...

Germany and the Czech Republic, via boat, mostly...

It was grand!

We will be going again later this spring...Switzerland, Germany, Austria...again by boat!

River cruises are the BEST!

17. Hi Peggy,
Which cruise line did you use as I have looked at those river cruises and wonder about which line to take. Were you ahppy with the cruise line? Did you like Prague? I've been to Germany and Austria and it was personal driving for ten days.

19. My dear barb162!
It wasn't a cruise line...

We've taken to traveling with the Travel Study people from Stanford University. Their trips are pricey, but very, very good.

Here's their link:

http://www.stanfordalumni.org/learningtravel/travelstudy/home.html

We loved the old part of Prague! The new city is just like any new city, anywhere. But the tour people take you into the old city, and it's gorgeous and extensive.

We never do our own driving. We have found it much easier to let someone else do all that...

10. Argentina in October
That gave me six continents under my hooves. Once I've been to Antarctica, I can die. But it's way too dear, so I guess I'll live forever.:)

21. No. Spain last October, No. Italy in May before that.
This fall either a trip to Andalucia (Seville, Cordoba, Grenada, Ronda) or Florence with an Elderhostel study group (taking trains to little towns in Tuscany also, such as Prato).

23. I liked Argentina better than I thought I would.
Though with limited time, I only went to the high deserts of the northwest.

I made six videos out of my photos (and videos), for anyone wanting an armchair tour:

this poll. I live close to Canada, and members of my family have been recently, but I haven't.
