Met a new friend today...

I was coming out of the gas station when a very friendly four-legged critter accosted me. A beautiful dog, looking lost. When I opened my car door to leave, she hopped right in.

She proceeded to plant sloppy kisses and hugs all over my face. A young man who witnessed all of this knocked on my car window to tell me that he thought he knew the owners. He tried to call them, while this beautiful creature was still busy washing my face.

Then it dawned on me. This was a pit bull! I don't remember ever being very close to one, let alone having her within a couple inches of my jugular!

The owner was there in less than five minutes. "Hanna C." bestowed upon me one final kiss...and then she was gone.

What a sweetie she was. Although I was prepared to take her home until the owner could be found, I was really glad that it ended well, and so quickly.

Gave me a whole new respect for the breed.

and he's a big sweetie, too. Very playful and not rough at all :)

Trying to remember what they named him... oh yeah, "Villian" :P
