But that's okay, it's good for our local economy, etc, etc.

4. I think the quality of the Super Bowl ads has declined steeply in the past 5 years.
But it will be about the only thing I will watch it for.

14. I Hear You
Somewhere along the line, they stopped making ads designed to appeal to office / company decision-making, and increasingly appealed to personal decision-making, and emphasizing the machismo element.

The outrageous cost of buying the time is probably a factor as well, with agencies less likely to take risks.

Fed-Ex announced they won't be advertising during the SB this year.

8. Couldn't care less about the ads.
They're rarely funny, and a a whole they're a letdown every year.

As for the game, after the Seattle-Pittsburgh SB's officiating and the NFL's insistence that the game was called properly from start to finish, I couldn't care less about the SB, either. Fantasy season is over long before the SB, and the only pro football team in North America I have a passion for is the Montreal Alouettes anyway.

15. The winning team won't be satisfied; they'd rather hear back from God.
After all, the winning team likes to think God was helping them win and all...
