Today's NYT crossword puzzle

At least in syndication, anyway (I'm not sure how far behind the actual puzzle it is).

I'll give some spoiler text if you haven't had a chance to do it yet, but...

...for anyone who's still reading this: all the special squares were the two-letter abbreviations for the states that went for PE Obama, and the two big answers (46A & 90A: "What the 28 circled squares in this puzzle represent")read "states won by barack oba(MA) (IN) the presi(DE)nt(IA)l ele(CT)ion"
