Batman vs Wolverine: Who would win?

Anyway, he's no dummy. He wouldn't allow Logan to get within striking distance. Then Bats would fire some kind of glue or whatever at Wolvie, trapping him in place so that he could dispose of him at his leisure.

Wolverine is mostly brawn and Batman's got the brains and gadgets.

Wolverine....if you hurt him, he just regenerates and comes back to swipe your ass with Adamantium claws...Batman is just that...just a man...hurt him enough, he will bleed...and die!

Hand to hand, Wolverine, but Bats could out gadget him I think.

Didn't Batman beat Captain America in one of those crossover thingies they did several years ago?

Bruce Wayne fought Steve Rogers, neither knowing who the other really was. After realizing that they were evenly matched, with both using techniques known only to a dozen or so fighters in the world, Wayne realized what was going on and ended the fight.

His interior monologue during the fight suggested that Rogers might actually have a bit of an edge (likely owing to the Super Soldier serum), but Rogers was amazed at Wayne's skill just the same.

It was an awfully long time ago when I read it. Maybe I just wanted Batman to win as he was the only "superhero" comic that I ever paid much attention to, other than a youthful flirtation with Spiderman.

The villains were, appropriately, the Joker and the Red Skull, and the story was set in Gotham City during WWII.

I got the dc/marvel classics crossovers, the story you are talking about is in the collection.

Another time they fought, was the DC/Marvel crossover in mid, to late 90s...they were about at a draw, and the sewers flood, and Batman saves Capes life...when the get topside(on the street) Cap says, well it looks like you win, cause you saved me.

Byrne made a clever choice in the Batman/Cap crossover, in that he drew and wrote it in a style very reminiscent of the Golden Age, rather than simply setting a modern comic story in the 40s.


I only paged through the DC vs. Marvel stuff to see who kicked whose ass. One thing I liked, though, was how Bullseye, after getting his ass kicked by Batman, reflected that Daredevil had never hit him that hard. LOL!

he is smarter and more resourceful because he has to be

given time, Batman will come out on top. However just meet up with Wolverine and Batman is done.

personally, if it's meet up with no prep time, batman is toast.

what a lot of people forget, wolverine's not completely stupid either. he's got a decent intellect and enough combat savvy to make deathstroke wet himself.

Batman might hang in there for a minute or two....but if this were ever a comic book, Batman would bust out with his Anti-Wolverine Repellant Spray, and hose Logan down, and win....

Its hard to say though honestly, I remember Wolverine getting beat down by a ninja master, with a bamboo stick...and I've seen Batman get demolished by an ultra hulk(Bane)....if it were up to fan voting, Batman would probably win...(it would be similiar to Bats fight against Predator).

He's a Noo Yawker...(Gotham) 'nuff said.

He does not have to get in clawing distance of Wolverine. He just has to keep firing on the crater that used to be where Wolverine was standing until nothing moves, and then keep firing for a while after that to be sure.

All you have to do is us a long range attack to sever Logan's head, and keep it separate from his body so he can't regenerate. Not much of a problem for a man of Bruce Wayne's means. Of course, since he's not Batman anymore...

Only because he's sick of bald guys paying him to throw the fight.

I have a son named Logan, so I'm partial to Wolverine. :D

hands down, in a walk, without breaking a sweat, because he is smarter than wolverine will ever dream of being.

He kicked superman's ass.

1. After extensive planning, Batman sets things up so that the fight winds up in a scrap metal yard

2. Batman can hold his own long enough to get the fight there. He can't match Logan's endurance, but he doesn't have to; he simply needs to last long enough to draw the fight there. If nothing else, Batman can fend off Logan's attacks almost as long as necessary.

3. As I mentioned above, Batman would have access to the DC equivalent of adamantium. So he's going to have a staff or sword made from Kryptonian steel, easily able to withstand slashes from Wolverine's claws. Hell, he might even borrow the sword that Wonder Woman used in Kingdom Come.

4. Once Batman maneuvers Logan into position, he feigns weakness or uncertainty. Then, as Logan is about to strike, Batman activates the huge electromagnet crane overhead via remote control.

5. Logan is yanked upwards and pinned by those very same bones and claws that supposedly make him such a badass

6. Batman douses him with Bat-napalm and then sets him alight

7. When Logan is incapacitated, Batman cuts off Lgan's head and ships it to a different time zone


What's Logan got? Claws? Unkickable shinbones? Sideburns? Cigars? Feh, I say.
