PUKE! Just saw this bumpersticker in the parking lot of the local Fred Meyer:
"I'll keep my guns, my freedom and my money; you can keep "the change! - NOBAMA!"

:puke::puke::puke::puke:

I hope I see that car again in eight years. I'd love to ask the guy: "Did they take your guns, freedom or money, yet?"

1. You shouldn't let other peoples' bumper stickers upset you
Edited on Sat Jan-17-09 06:54 PM by Bucky
They're just bumper stickers. You don't want to live in a world without divergent opinions, do ya?

*wink, wink*

4. Not at all. But people with stupid opinions should just STFU!
I'll never forget that moment in the debate. I was at a debate party at a tavern in Tacoma, socializing with some great new Dem friends. I did a double-take. "Did she just wink? Was that a wink?? What the fuck is she winking for???"

Got to hand it to the Repukes. They found one of their own who is actually physically attractive, instead of disgusting skanks like Man Coultergheist and Michelle Malkin. (She doesn't even need a nickname. 'Malkin' is Elizabethan slang for 'whore'.) I can't be a hypocrite on the subject; if Palin was a liberal, I'd be going on and on about how hot she is. And she did look good in that black silk thing she was wearing. But Sweet Mary, Mother of God, what an idiot! :dunce:

I live smack in the middle of dyed-in-the-wool liberal territory. But at the Unemployment Offices and DSHS, the vast majority of vehicles in the parking lot are sporting Republican Party bumper stickers. And the absurd part is, from overhearing the buzz and chatter in the waiting room, I don't believe most of them have realised that they are actually applying for the Welfare they so visciously scoff at the progressives about.

3. OMG, you won't believe what happened to my husband and I last night...
We were coming back from dinner & a truck was tailgating my car for about 3 miles... through what I know to be an area where cops patrol heavily. In other words, I was doing the speed limit & the guy didn't like it. So, after he finally pulled around and passed us, I noticed a "McCain" bumper sticker. I told my husband, "Figures- McCain bumper sticker." My husband said, "I didn't see a McCain bumper sticker." I flashed my brights at the guy's bumper & said, "Seeeee..." Just then, the guy slammed on his breaks. No problem, since I had safe following distance. But then he just sat there, in his pick-up, in the middle of the road!! I made a split decision to u-turn it in my little car, right there, get the hell out of that situation. The guy followed us. It got scary for a little bit, but we finally lost the maniac. Whew. There are a lot of really upset McCain supporters (aka freaks) out there. Beware.

:scared:

9. I'm glad you're all right, KC2. There are a lot of freaks out there...
Whenever I overtake some pick-up truck driving weirdo bully with right-wing stickers on his bumper, I always hunch down in my seat until I'm out of shooting range. You never know when one of them is going to pop off. Sheesh! EVERYBODY is packing these days... :eyes:

10. People who go through life loaded down with resentments & anger...
I think are attracted to extremist, blame-focused politics. Conservatives might be more inclined to this, but it's not exclusively their turf, as a quick trip to GDP would reveal. In my college years I used to know a lot of communists & anarchists who hung around the University of Houston. In general they were not a happy lot--almost to a person, they were bitter about their childhood upbringings. Once I read a biography of Karl Marx, I started to notice a very strong correlation between radical politics and unhappy childhoods.

While conservatives are not relatively radical, based on norms in American society, if you gauge radicalism by how doctrinaire people are (use of ideological formulas & code words and an unwillingness to compromise), then many American conservatives are just as "radical" as any goatee stroking Marxist grad student. Most ideologies are yucky.

in San Antonio. Why do you think I live up here? They have gun-nuts here, too, but nowhere near as crazed as in Texas...
