1) Describe your favorite vacation.

Several, but one clearly stands out.

Has to be the one in my youth when I spent 10 days in Hawaii with a couple friends from work. What happened there, never leaves there! LOL!

IMNSHO, better to have loved.

Yes, a couple. My first boss spoiled me for the competence of any other manager I had after that.

And a professor in college took me under her wing. Had me over to her home several times too. Her husband was an obnoxious Republican asshole who made conversation difficult at times. I think she enjoyed the distraction when I was there.

No, I've never been arrested. But I was a very prolific shoplifter as a teen. I got caught ONCE, and was shown what it sounds like to have a jail cell closed shut. Cured me forever! I got caught stealing smokes.

I fell flat on my face so hard that I broke my glasses, split a gash open on my eye, and cracked my eye orbit. Blood everywhere! Scared the piss outta my mother; she though the fridge fell over!

Boy, was that expensive! Damned cat.

When I was 12, I visited my dad in AZ, and we took a road trip to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. It was the most time I ever spent with my dad after my folks divorced. I still have my souvenir Mickey Mouse from Disneyland.

Probably my trips to London and to New Orleans. I love both cities and would live in either one if I could.

Yes; I believe that not all loves are intended to last for a lifetime. So sometimes, after we accomplish what we're supposed to, that phase ends, and we move on. Never having loved means missing out on an essential facet of life.

Sort of; my second-to-last boss taught me everything I needed to know about managing people and running a Web site--two sets of skills that have served me well since then.

Ow. x( Also broke my tailbone giving birth to MG Jr. (No drugs, so I sure noticed that.)

Oh, boy. Okay - freshman year of high school, one of my moron classmates thought it would be funny to pull out my chair from under me as I sat down in the cafeteria. It resulted in a cracked tailbone, that has caused lower back pain to this day.
When I was 17 years old, I was at church, holding the bathroom door open for two old ladies. The one lady's handbag got caught, I tried to catch the door before it hit her, and ended up breaking 3 fingers on my right hand - two days before a major piano competition. My school and piano coach were not happy.

My husband and I go camping every year in Feb and the weather on the central coast of California is unpredictable at that time. Most years, its cold and rainy, one year it was sunny and in the 70's every day but the best year, it was in the 20's and snowed. It was beautiful and we had a ball.

The only bone I ever broke was my back when I fell off a horse 10 years ago. Oddly, I had had a bad spill 3 days before, going off a hot Thoroughbred at a gallop but I tucked and rolled and just got bruised and beat up. On this day, I was just going to sit on my Arab while he grazed and I stood on a bench and slid my leg over his bare back when he stepped sideways. I wasn't on far enough to sty on but I wasn't off far enough to step down and I fell on my ass and broke my back.

I've fallen off hundreds of times in many spectacular ways but the only time I get really hurt was just a fluke.

I was back on a horse within 2 weeks.

Oh, and I was had Chciago cops point their guns at me in a case of mistaken identity (they thought I was buying drugs, I guess).

Lyric, LyricLad, and I went with our friend "Princess" (HUGE ex-boxer pal... the nickname is a running joke) went down to Tampa to see my daughter when she and my wasband were in the States to get their visas renewed. We spent a week in January alternating between Clearwater Beach, the MOSI (science museum), the Dali Museum, and the zoo, and I went back to classes with a tan.

Kinda... my former neighbors when i was a high-schooler (Lynn and Arlene) were the founders of one of Charlotte's two MCC churches. Even though i'm now agnostic-verging-on-atheist, i still owe them both a lot for their time and guidance.

Yep... forgot to pay a ticket, and then a few years later i got pulled over, and they found the old ticket/failure to appear thing. I got 'arrested' for driving under a suspended license, was released under personal recognizance, and had to go to court and pay a fine.

1)Taking the five kids all over the place on a four week camping trip. Kids, dogs, tents. Stories to last a lifetime.

2) No. I had my heart broken in an indescribable way many years ago. Now I'm married to the love of my life. Nearly 18 years and still going strong. It was worth the pain.

3) Absolutely. When I started nursing, I wasn't that far from my time on the street. I didn't (and still don't) understand the middle class. I didn't know the rules, the language, the values.
