The Browns fans I know are divided on the issue.

I'll root for the Browns if they ever go to the Super Bowl.

2. I gotta root for the NFC team, even when it isn't the Cowboys
The Cowboys have no chance of seeing the Super Bowl (or even the playoffs) until their management wakes up to the realization that Tony Romo is NOT a hall of fame quality quarterback. Any team with a quarterback who can be reliably counted on to make at least three turnovers per game isn't going anywhere.

I'm kind of not rooting for the Cardinals cause I told Chan790 when he suggested after the first round of the playoffs that the Cards would win the SB that was so far fetched that I was ALMOST willing to bet nekkid pics..:o

At least this time, however, we don't have to put up with two weeks of being reminded on an hourly basis that Jerome Bettis is from Detroit. That was enough to make a priest start drinking.

Ben Rothlisberger is the most overrated QB in the NFL. He's Jeff Garcia with an ESPN suck-up squadron.

Oh, and he already won a fixed Super Bowl. He doesn't deserve another one.

11. Arizona Cardinals. I'd love for Kurt Warner to get his 2nd ring
and for the Cardinals to finally get a Super Bowl title. They're way overdue. They've earned their shot. And for Warner to prove once again how dead wrong the so-called experts can be when they initially overlook someone. Plus he's already got as many rings as the god of Cheeseheads and he's not from an SEC or Big 12 school. Who'da thunk it?

29. How do you know it didn't?
I'm sure it did. But even though the Pittsburgh QB does the god talk he's not NEARLY as obnoxious about it as Warner. As an atheist I find it wearing. How do you think it would go over if an athelete said, "I refuse to credit Jesus for what was just simple atheletics". Or see Kathy Griffins "suck it Jesus" remark a couple of years ago.
BTW, the fact that the Cardinals are in the SB should put your tinhat theories about the NFL to rest.

30. Did you even watch the Pittsburgh vs Seattle SB?
The officiating was so lopsided that there is no logical way to explain it other than the league telling the refs to make things easy for the Squealers.

The Colts are another team that constantly benefits from shaky calls, and their team president chairs the committee that oversees officiating. I don't think that's coincidental.

32. Yes I did
I see bad refing in a lot of games. You don't think the home teams get the advantage in calls alot (or the team with more fans there)? It happens. I do think good teams get a bit of an advantage but I don't think there is any "conspiracy" like you think to make one team win.
And I'm not at all convinced Seattle would have won the game without the bad calls. I watched that game. Steelers played well enough to win.
I would like you to explain the Pats losing last SB if your theory is true. Certainly the NFL would have loved to see history made..

member of our Sunday School class is hosting this party and it is such a fun group that I am going to attend. There will be others attending who have little or no interest in the game itself and we will hang out, chat, eat, etc

it is billed as a BYOP party..Bring Your Own Pizza...which can be from a pizza joint, homemade, frozen, whatever is your favorite. It will be interesting to see what shows up. I am not quite sure what I will take since our personal favorite pizza place is closed on Sundays. It has a sister store in one of the malls so I may just go there, order a pizza, shop a bit and then head for the party.

He was a Giant for one season. Up in Albany, I can tell you he was one of the really good guys who takes time for the fans. On top of that he was a solid locker room presense. When you consider he went from bag boy to Super Bowl MVP, it's hard not to root for him.

Scraped his way to the NFL by playing in the Arena League and NFL Europe

Oh, but he's open about his evangelical Christianity, let's badmouth him.

I hate to say it, but that's bigotry. The people who bash Warner for hsi religious faith are no better than Rush Limbaugh when he badmouths black quarterbacks for "shucking and jiving".

I picked them weeks ago to win (over the mockery of "some" Loungers) and I'm sticking by that pick. I have to say though, of all the AFC teams, the one I did not want to see them playing in the Super Bowl was the Steelers. No better than a toss-up pick.

But...like Kurt Warner, I have faith (His is in God and mine is in the mediocrity of the Pittsburgh O.) so...I predict Cardinals 23 Steelers 10 in the worst Super Bowl in 20 years.

I guess there's something like overtime in soccer.
Oh, and the wonderful penalty kick situation, I'm sure there's something similar if after over-time there's still a draw.
So I guess a Superbowl will never have a draw...

BUT I WANT ONE!

And I liked the Rays. You gotta love the feeling of a franchise long suffering in mediocirty (like, for example, another AL East team that hasn't had a winning season in 12 years) suddenly pull it together and make it to the big game.

Not to mention the fact that the Squeelers are the Ravens biggest rival, so I'm contractually obligated to root against them. (Although not as bitterly as I would root against the Yankees in baseball).

71. I'm from PA, so I should root for the Steelers, but I'm also an Eagles fan,
so I should root for the NFC champs, the Cards, but honestly, I don't give a shit. I usually don't even watch the Superbowl - it's usually a lousy game with way too much bullshit attatched.

I will agree, however, that KMart sucks.
