NC lost a great lady and a great liberal tonight...
My grandmother passed on this evening, at the age of 91.

She was a conscientious, people-loving liberal all of her life, and a registered Democrat for as long as i can remember.

Fare thee well, Eddie Gwen. You taught me well.

Grandmothers usually are. The Roosevelt Democrats of her generation who stayed liberal to the end always make me feel good.

7. I get those values from her... gods know, my mom didn't inherit them.
I always joked that at least Nana was there to negate mom's uber-conservative votes.

9. It's funny
how much of my values I got from my grandmother and her brother. Not political values so much but some basic values about right and wrong and how a person is supposed to act and it carries over into politics sometimes. This thread brings back good memories of her so thanks for posting.

Your grandmother passed away at the same age that my paternal grandfather did. She sounds like a wonderful person who made a difference in this world and you were fortunate to have had her as a grandmother and she was fortunate to have you a grandchild.
