How do you make that chinese white gravy?

The kind they use for almond chicken. I have been looking all over the damned internet and can't fine one recipe. You know... the white/almost translucent sauce they put all over it. Anyone know how to make it? The restaurant I used to order it from went out of business and nobody else around here makes it the same way.
