I have a confession. I've become a texting slut.

I used to make fun of people who text all the time. Now I switched cell plans and have unlimited texting, and I'm texting my friends all the time. I don't do it at rude or inconvenient times, but at home. A lot. It's sick. The problem is, I can't NOT respond, and people text me constantly. It's a vicious cycle.

Funny thing....on the airplane, we have a system that lets us exchange info with the company, including some options for text. I was talking to one of our dispatchers on the phone after a flight one day, and he said, "you have teen kids, don't you?" I asked how he knew. He said you can always tell someone who texts a lot when you read their ACARS messages.

I guess that's true. I tend to use the same "shorthand:"

WE R W8ING 4 NOS. NE WORD?

That sort of thing.

I texted someone with a snarky response, thinking they were someone else. In turn I got a response which in part stated, "suck it Lara".

Halfway through my subsequent apology response, I accidentally went to all-caps, and then accidentally sent the message in the middle of a sentence.

Do what my niece does - she "bulk texts". She sends one text to like 50 people, and they all respond at the same time. :scared:

I can't see the phone well enough without my glasses to text. I have a blackberry which makes emails much easier than texting.

Although I did have a friend issue a texting restriction since they are not on a plan and it was going to break the bank :rofl:
