Nickelback rents Tampa house for SuperBowl weekend. $22,000.00
Ye gods, but my weekend just got worse.

TAMPA - When you're preparing a home for rock stars, the details matter.

Jessica Carlson of A.J. Home Rentals spent Wednesday adding finishing touches to a waterfront South Tampa home before Nickelback rents it for Super Bowl weekend.

She spread Super Bowl blankets across furniture, made sure there was plenty of wine and left information on pizza delivery and strip clubs.

"The strip club info is listed first," she said with a sly chuckle. "I try to tailor the information to what the guests might want. If the client is bringing a family, I change that to Busch Gardens."

This is the first year for Carlson's business. Although she didn't rent as many homes as she had hoped (she won't say how many), she thinks it was successful. The house Nickelback is renting went for $22,000 for the weekend. And before they show up, another band, Hoobastank, will stay the night while in town for a concert.

Let's round up all the best nails, screws, glue, wire cutters, and TP.

First, we'll nail them into the house, then we'll reinforce the nails with screws. After that, we'll glue any air holes they have to soundproof the place then TP their tour bus.

That oughta stop 'em from releasing any of that stuff they call music for a while.

Edited to add:
Plan still developing. I added wire cutters to the list. What good is it to lock them up inside (semi) permanently, if we don't cut the wires to keep them from releasing shit, er, I mean that stuff they call music, online or worse, using their amps to terrorize the neighborhood with that, psychological warfare, er, I mean, stuff they call music.

3. Crap! Board up your windows and get the hell out of dodge!
I hope DickleSack is only there temporarily. I can't think of any lamer neighbors to have.

Except for Coldplay. Or Garrison Keillor.

11. Is there a qualitative difference between Hoobastank and Huffamoose?
I always suspected all those shitty nu-whatever bands were all the same band anyways - they just dress up differently for videos and live appearances...

13. Dude. You are missing a golden business opportunity here.
Rent out Chez Flvegan. Series. If I were in your shoes, I'd do it.

15. No way.
1. Chez flvegan is small. Smaller than any one floor of the MidloMansion.

2. Dogs included isn't a big selling point.

3. The goddamn kitchen cabinets would blind people, and then they'd sue. He really needs to stop letting his roomie paint things. :eyes:

18. Most folks that tried to take advantage of the opportunity, failed to rent.
We still have hotel availability locally. I'd rather spend $200/night for a loft suite at Residence than rent a house for $500/night.

20. Oh, boy, Good old Tampa. I spent several years there when my dad was stationed at MacDill.
Did a Google street map of the old neighborhood - has not changed in 30+ years. It's like a damn time warp.
