25 Random things about me.
1. My parents wanted to name me Richard, however, my Sister urged them to name me something different, as she didn't want a little brother to go through his school years with the nickname "Dick." For this, I am eternally grateful.

2. My favorite beer is Fuller's London Porter.

3. I feel that a gin and tonic made with really good gin and good tonic water with a twist of lemon is one of the most refreshing things you can have on a hot summer's day.

4. I used to smoke a pipe. I was influenced by the Lord of the Rings movies.

5. I once got in trouble for taking a picture of my butt and passing it around my school bus. I was inspired by that old episode of The Simpsons where Bart gets a spy camera.

6. In Grade School I got an in-school suspension at least once a year from 1st to 8th grade.

7. One day, I hope to earn a PhD and perhaps teach Communication, particularly a class on the history of American broadcast television.

8. My favorite TV Shows are House, Battlestar Galactica, Rescue me, MI-5, and Doctor Who.

9. I know how to swear in Finnish.

10. My favorite thing to do when I was in London was to go to Speaker's Corner and have lively debate with the speakers on subjects ranging from moving two well known landmarks (City Hall and a building known as "The Gherkin") so that they form a giant "Twig and berries" in the London Skyline, to Race relations, to Forgien policy of both the UK and the USA, to the influence of IslAm on Western society.

11. I strongly believe that The United States should join the rest of the world and switch to the Metric System.

12. My username is a reference to a Muppet who apperared on sketches in really early episodes of Satyurday Night Live

13. I've been to the UK, and I wish to explore more of Europe someday.

14. I am a fan of FC Celtic, a soccer team in Glasgow. (Rangers suck!)

15. When I was 13 years old, I could recite all the severe beating bits form Adam Sandler's They're All Going to Laugh At You album verbatim. I also used to be able to recite Toll Booth Willie form the same album verbatim.

16. If I won the lottery I probably would move to London. I'd also put 50 grand in 100 dollar bills into individual envelopes with a note asking whoever finds the money to do good with it and go from city to city putting the envelopes in random locations.

17. I'd like to see Greenland one day.

18. I came within 2 1/2 feet of shaking then President Clinton's hand when he came to Green Bay in 1996.

19. I earned the shotgun shooting merit badge in Boy Scouts. I have not shot trap since.

20. My favorite Comedian is Lewis Black, Who I got to wave at me after a show he did at UWSP.

21. I cannot whistle the song from those stupid Enzyte commercials without bursting into laughter.

22. I feel that watching old reruns of Bob Ross' The Joy of Painting a great way to relax. Better than pot, and not illegal!

23. If I could have PBS TV chefs cook a day's worth of meals for me I'd choose either Jaques Pepin or Tina Nordström from New Scandanavian Cooking to make breakfast, Rick Bayless to make lunch, and Martin Yan to cook me supper.

24. I feel that Christopher Eccleston's portrayal of The Doctor was the worst ever.

25. My Dream cars are Toyota Prius, 1967 Shelby GT500, and a Caterham Seven.

2. My reckoning was...

If you put a 5p tax on every picture postcard of the "London Cock", you'd pay off all the expenses of moving within two weeks, and have enough income to keep making public transport improvements in London.

Not to mention you could have some fun like putting a giant condom over the Gherkin on World AIDS Day, Shoot fireworks out of the top on Bonfire Night, and fly a gigantic Union Flag out the top on the appropriate holidays.

3. You like Lewis Black, huh?
He's funny, even when not trying to be funny. I spent 15 minutes with him and damn near pissed myself hearing him talk about what he had to do when he got back to the States. This was taken in Spain.

8. Coincidentally, I was watching the remake of "Gone In 60 Seconds"
for the umpteenth time last night. Eleanor is a 67 GT500 (if you haven't seen it) in this one. I actually felt pain in my chest after what they did to it (though surely it was a replica of some kind).

9. Yeah, my fascination is pop culture related, too.
But not Gone in 60 Seconds. My fascination comes from a Manga called Gunsmith Cats. The lead caracter drives a '67 GT 500. If you feel pain from Gone in sixty Seconds, What that car goes through over the course of the Manga will put you in the hospital.
