3. If it's got gelatin in it, I won't eat it.
You know, made from animals and all that.

6. I know it's made from animal parts, but I forget which.

Is it horse's hooves? If so, do they lop off the hooves of horses they slaughter, or do they collect clippings from live horses?

8. I doubt clippings from live horses would be enough.
Generally, it's made from the cartilage, hooves and bones of all the other animals people eat. Here's the wiki link and first sentence:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelatin
Gelatin (from French gélatine) is a translucent, colorless, brittle, nearly tasteless solid substance, extracted from the collagen inside animals' skin and bones.

11. I always thought it was cow's hooves.
But according to this: http://www.ochef.com/909.htm

Most of it comes from pig skin now.

15. My brother and SIL made a wonderful cranberry salad this past Xmas
using a plant-based gelling agent. They didn't remember what the product was, but were quite happy with how it came out. Everyone in my family but me is a meat-eater, but are more than happy to accommodate my needs, learning as they do :D

Did you notice in that link we have another reason to bring up the hated kudzu? :P

That's a nice site; thanks for the link :)
I'll have to look through it more tonight.

24. Jello
My mother used to make Jello molds like that in the 80's.lol

Anyways,Jello is good, but I eat the portion controlled kind made
by Hunts, because they are in a cup,and sugarless.

Good for someone who is watching their diet.

But if sugar is not your concern, then Jello's Blue Raspberry is an
awesome flavor.
