3. I kind of want to throw up, reading it.
It's so pathetic and melodramatic.
Apparently, I was DEEPLY concerned about the Gulf War.
Yeah, right.
Loser.

19. I'm sure you have.
I haven't written poetry since high school for much the same reason. The emotions level off somewhat. Makes for a lousy muse, but one functions much better.

12. I did something pretty cheap here in the Lounge a few weeks back
I put out a call for other Loungers to post their worst bad poetry, but then I chickened out when it was my turn.

In my defense, I could readily argue that it would be impossible for me to pick from such a broad catalog.

6. Hmmm. When my wife gets frustrated with our daughter, I will occasionally say to her...
"Now you know how your mother felt"!! or "You sound just like your mother"

:hide:

Well at least she can then channel her frustration at our daughter towards me!!!

8. ROFL I'm afraid of reading my old journals too
I kept one for more than 10 years, from near the end of college through a chunk of my single life and awful jobs. I remember that I tried to be literary--deep thoughts and observations--and sometimes I succeeded, but most of the time I was complaining about something or other--job, men, relatives, or all of the above concurrently. I know where the box is, but I ain't opening it anytime soon. Wondering if I should burn them before my son gets old enough to know how to read and go snooping around.

I feel the same way about mine. There is nothing either enlightening, or helpful for posterity in them.

30. Re:Diary
I kept a diary as a teen, and most of the details were true, but some were exaggerated.

Anyways, this is how my mom found out I was no longer a virgin,
and the shit hit the fan.

Needless to say I felt violated, and never kept a diary again.

My mom's words were "I felt sick after reading it".

I told her it was her own fault for not respecting my privacy.lol

ANyways,my mom and I are good now,as that was a good 15 yrs ago.

33. It is the worst. Unfortunately, 13 is as much an attitude as an age...
and for some kids, it seems to last a lot longer than a chronological year.
