7. That was six months pay for a working person back then
Not too bad a deal for one appearance by a relatively unknown band at the time.

5. Yes,but
I was only an infant at the time.
My parents told me years later that I saw it with them.
Frankly,I don't remember it myself.
However, the first song I can remember hearing was Hard Days Night and the first TV show I remember was the Beatles cartoon show.

15. I sure did!
I was living in a private dorm in college, and our lounge was crammed full! I was lucky and had gotten one of the couch places...

It was amazing!

All these shrieking girls!

The Ed Sullivan Show...

I'll never forget it!

17. Yes, though I was not all that impressed
I thought their music was simplistic and could not stand all the screaming. It wasn't until the 70s that I began to like their music.

23. Yeah yeah yeah
I was 12 years old. I was glued to the tv set. A couple days later I went out & bought Meet the Beatles for $2.98 at G Fox & Co.
The next time they were on I got my father's Wollensack reel to reel & taped them. Boy, I wish I still had those tapes!

29. I did
It was the night before my fourth birthday. My parents let us stay up to watch because they thought it would be historic. We were just excited that we got to stay up and had no idea what we were watching. When the Beatles ran onstage all the girls screamed so my sister and I did too; thinking that's what we were supposed to do.
