Grr. You do not get a "tax return" from the government!
Your tax return is the document you file with the government.

If you overpaid your tax and get some money back, that is called a tax refund.

3. You don't get a tax refund either if you live in California
At least, not until the state scares up some money.

I wonder what would happen if I called the Tax Board and told them they'd have to wait for their money because I'm broke. :P
