24. I've slept in my car in Boron.
And run nearly naked down the streets of Fresno Anne Heche style.

Had my car break down in Mojave without money. And Los Banos. And...

Nearly got beat up by rednecks in Redding.

Woke up in San Diego after falling asleep in Tijuana.

Been searched at the border in San Ysidro.

Left blood on the streets of Berkeley.

Got my motel room broken into by cops with guns in Riverside.

etc. etc.

Damn I LOVE California, all of it!

15. Am I the only one who thinks the Central Valley has it's own unique charm?
I like the dry grassy hills and the black oaks, the madrone and bay. I even like the little towns, like something out of Steinbeck, I know it was Salinas, but the CV reminds me of that.

I like driving 99 or the little highways, like 33 and 140, and looking at all the bucolia.

29. I've met some really nice people in the central valley.
And the hills surrounding it are very nice too. I can think of much worse places in the world to live than the central valley.

18. and here i thought Bakersfield was the armpit of California, the one they don't put in
the brochures. Boron for wins the worst, that place is desolate and tragic looking.

20. Yeah, it's pretty sad when you're the armpit's armpit.
I lived in Denair for a year. They had a sign entering town that said: Denair, The Oaisis Of The San Joaquin Valley. I always thought they had just mispelled armpit.
